“A great fit for my wide hobbit feet. A nice ergonomic toe box with a squared-off front to the shoe means your toes can spread. The heel retention is excellent without the need to overtighten the laces. A single bow in the laces holds securely - no double knot or loop-throughs required.
I have transitioned to these shoes from Brooks to move away from a highly 'engineered' shoe to one with less arch support and (much) less heel drop in order to build strength in my feet and develop a better running form. It has been two weeks now and I am no longer heel-striking, landing flat on my midfoot instead. My calves get sore because they are stretched as a result of the lower heel drop in the shoe but I can feel my legs adapting already. Overall impressions are overwhelmingly positive.”
“This is my second pair, with the first pair chosen after great advice from staff in the shop last year.
I have quite square and shallow feet, and this is the first make/style of running shoes I've had that fit perfectly.
Been able to train and run without injury since purchasing - I would recommend a visit to the shop in Newcastle if you are struggling to find the right shoes.”
“I wasn't sure about getting these as I normally get neutral shoes. Pleasantly surprised though. Normal Topo fit, which is great with plently of room for my toes. Nice support at the heel and reasonably light. Perfect for my longer road runs.”
“To me, Topo athletics are the best shoes and a new Ultrafly 3 is no exception. It is great though a bit wider at a front than other models. I only hope it will be possible to get them in UK in the future :) and I am planning to stock up anyway :)”
