“Was advised to purchase from a Podiatrist and i know why they are very comfortable as well the look very nice.
the service that I received from Northern Runner was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the wrong size and without any quibble what so ever they exchanged for me them after sending me up dates of deliveries etc. Highly recommended”
“This is my 2nd pair of Clifton 7s, I rated the initial one with 3 stars because based on initial wear I thought they weren't going to last long, however I was mistaken the sole lasted a lot more than what I was expecting and I retired them only after using them for about 1000 kms. I don't recommend using these shoes for all occasions: these are very supportive highly cushioned shoes for longer training runs”
“Very light weight (about 3/4 the weight of my normal shoes) and 2E (wide) is tight in the toe box for me so quite a narrow fit. I've done about 20k in them on 3 short (6-8k) runs and I'm not sure they suit my running style/gait as I have been a heel striker for 30 years and these shoes appear to be aimed more at mid-foot strikers as they make me want to rock forward. After a run my legs are more tired than usual which makes me think they are making me run in a less energy efficient (for me) way? For me, they will be OK for shorter (under 10k), faster runs but I need more stability and cushioning for my longer runs.”
“On the first run my shoes felt less cushioned than I expected, however, by the second run they felt marvelous. I bought them primarily for my long slow runs, but I have since used them for 6x100m sprints and I can say that I'm happy all around. I cannot yet speak for durability. My feeling is that running is essentially a cheap activity, so I tend not to be too concerned about retiring a shoe. If I get 6-700km I'll be happy. Also I had great service from NorthernRunners.”
“I've bought this for longer runs and I am not disappointed with the performance: they're very supportive and comfortable (my other current shoes are Nike Pegasus 37 and these are much better for long training runs, the Nike are better for shorter runs). The disappointing part is durability: I have run 100 kms in them and I can see already quite a bit of wear on the soles so I don't think they will last that long, which for training shoes at this price range is not good value for money.”
