“Very comfortable straight out of the box. No issues with blisters or sizing.
Studs add extra confidence when running.
Looking forward to some serious trail running in these.”
“I have rated the VJ Integrator as the best orienteering shoe for many years and the latest version maintains the traditional robustness and brilliant grip. Excellent!”
“Because these are a normal width and not the usual super skinny/foot crushing width that so many orienteering shoes are, they are wearable and actually very comfy. I've only managed to get out in them once (sigh), and it was dry, but these are my first pair of O-shoes with dobbs and I can't wait to get back to orienteering in the rain and see how they fair over the slippery logs that usually bring me down!”
“This is my first pair of VJs and my first pair of dobs. First impressions are that they are much stiffer than the Inov8s I usually wear (Mudclaws and X-Talon 200). It is therefore a different ride but I like the sense of additional support and protection underfoot. This may not suit everyone though. The dobs are a revelation; having taken a fall on wet chalk whilst orienteering I decided to invest in these. I am not quite ready to place my full trust in them but they seem to grip well on fallen tree trunks and there is no sense that you are about slide off sideways when running through bashings. Invo8 do a shoe with dobs but the VJ also has two dobs on the instep, where you are most likely to connect when negotiating a fallen tree. I have no experience using Invo8 dobs so cannot say which is better. The fit seems just slightly narrower than Inov8 standard fit, though that may just be because they are a more robust shoe than the X-Talon 200 and give a little less. Overall, I am happy with the purchase though I will keeping the Mudclaws for the real quagmires.”
“I’ve run in two forest orienteering events since I bought the Integrator18s and they provide amazing grip. I feel more confident in running down steep muddy banks and crossing moss covered tree trunks over streams. They are great.”
