“Really lovely running shoe, very light weight with great cushion. Wore them for my first marathon and felt like I was running on air! Definitely well worth the money.”
“This is my second pair of Ghost 12s and they have to be my favourite shoes so far. They offer just the right amount of cushioning for me and they are well padded around the cuff so are gentle on my ankles. As these were my second pair I knew that I needed to lace my right foot different from my left and they have been perfect from the off, straight into a (for me anyway) fast 5k. Very pleased.”
“Good service from Northern Runner, answered my queries with pain when I ran with these trainers. I run with Hoka Clifton & Brooks Glycerine which have been good but not so good for my gait which is as a consequence of stroke with slight drop foot on my right foot meaning that the soles quickly wear out. I thought that Ghost might be an answer but I’m undecided at the moment....nice looking trainers but I guess that with the split sole as opposed to a flatter sole, I’m having to train my muscles to run properly in these trainers. I’ve had to moderate my runs because I have pain radiating from the higher point of my arch right up my inner leg. So still plugging away with them & they are getting better but still not good. My advice is if you’ve got any issues, go & get a proper fitting....unlike me!”
“Going to have to get another pair of shoes unfortunately as didn’t like Ghost 12. Tried my best to get used to them but they’re just not as good or comfortable as my other Nike’s. I’ll keep them for walks and stuff but won’t run in them again.”
“The Brooks Ghost is my second choice daily training shoe - I bought these because my first choice Saucony Ride 13 is delayed due to Covid-19. The Ghost is a reliable, comfortable shoe that goes on for months without wearing out. It has quite a high 12mm heel drop, but I don't really notice the difference from my usual 8mm. The only slight fault is that the tongue tends to slip to one side a bit, but this is a minor quibble.”
