i was having difficulty with grip on mud and slick chalk on my local (south downs) trails and bought these hoping they would be an improvement
they have delivered and more:
- i'm still getting used to just how much grip they give me - it's a lot
- i really like the design approach to the uppers too - tough, but minimal, material which sheds water and mud, and drains quickly - your feet will get wet (but they were always going to get wet when the mud is beyond ankle deep) but the water will drain quickly leaving no squish
- fit is brilliant - snug, a bit like a climbing shoe, with no friction points and giving great precision and trail feel”
“Great shoes from Inov8 as usual. Slightly stiffer than my old Xtalon 190s, but better for it. Grip is great, and no issues after 20 miles of rough ground as a first test of the shoes.
Thr fit is narrow, but hugs the foot perfectly without toe squeeze. These are already becoming one of my favourite pairs of Inov8 shoes I've owned.”
