“Great shoe for people with wide feet plenty of room in the front shoe box , firm fit in the mid foot and heel ( these don’t move around under you r feet like altra s
Very grippy on wet stone , grass and mud . No rock plate is no problem you can feel the odd stone but not painful .cushioning works well without losing the sensation of what’s under your feet
I ran 17 mile straight out the box without any issue other adjusting the laces once
Great shoe if you have wide feet 9/10”
“Hadn't used Topo before but came across these in some online reviews. Am a die hard Altra fan but wanted something with more cushioning/support than some of the lighter Altras but without the heavy cushioning of their max cushioned shoes. The Topos are definitely more rigid through the sole but very supportive, toe box is wide, similar to Altras but not quite as wide, not quite zero drop but not really noticeable. Good shoe, best for off road trails, I've bought them for mountain running and with combination of great vibram sole and good support they work well for that. They are a bit tough when you hit the roads as the sole is not really designed for road running. If you are an Altra fan they are well worth a try and fit really well between the cushioned Olympus and the lighter Lone Peaks.”
