“I replaced my Roclite 295s with these for local hills (Lomond Hills) and stonier areas (e.g. Cairngorms). They've done a little over 50 miles so difficult to provide a comprehensive review. There's much more cushioning than the 295, which I like as the terrain I mostly use this sort of shoe on has a lot of stony trods and some exposed rock. The soles are slightly more aggressive than the 295, which I also like for short grass and softer sections. The heels feel far more grippy than the 295 when descending. The heel rubber is unfortunately wearing more rapidly than I'd ideally like. The fit isn't my favourite (prefer precision fit) but they're incredibly comfortable and the uppers appear more robust than the 295 (thus the additional weight?).”
