“Need plenty of room for my toes so they are perfect and I love the zero drop. The side effect has been to speed up my runs by forcing me into better running form.
Great service from Northern runners who supplied.”
“Compared to Altra Olympus 3 the Paradigm 4 feels very firm - too firm for me. My ankles knees and back ache after every run in the Paradigm. 100 miles of mixed road and trails are enough to confirm that they are not a keeper. Both shoes are snug fitting around the ankle and mid foot area which locks the foot down firmly. Toe area of the Paradigm feels wider/longer/taller than the Olympus even though the insoles are the same length (EU47). I prefer the Olympus 3 as an all-round road and trail shoe - 450 miles on them so far and no aches or pains anywhere. I run 3 times a week 70%trail 30% road and weigh 105kg.
Fit and finish of Paradigm 4's is great.”
“This is my second pair of Altra Paradigm's. My first being Paradigm 3 version. I love the update, especially the upper. The shoe overall is more breathable and feels lighter. The shoe hugs my foot and doesn't feel tight midfoot at all compared to some reviews I've read. The stability is great and feels responsive. I pounded the streets with my old pair for approx 500miles and still felt cushioned. I hope these can match if not exceed these miles. Would highly recommend. You will not be unhappy. Would suggest to go an extra half a size though.”
