“I have worn barefoot shoes for walking but wanted to try them for running and wanted a more structured shoe (don't know why?) I have very wide feet at the base of the big toe and contacted Northern Runner who said that the Topo should be ok. There were absolutely right, they are feather light, which I love, they fit like a dream and I run like a gazelle in them (ok, I made up the last bit). I will, when funds allow, be getting the Topo off-road shoe as I am so impressed with these.”
“I am delighted with these shoes! I have not tried the Topo Athletic brand until now. Very few manufacturers offer Zero Drop and I am a dedicated zero drop runner and having transitioned back in 2010 (after reading 'Born to Run' of course!) I WILL not revert to any heel to toe offset at all - which makes finding the right shoes very challenging! My previous brand whose zero drop shoes I wore for years (Saucony Virrata) stopped making them and I was totally devastated! “These replaced my Altra The One Squared, which I love, since they have gone out of production. The toe box shape is not quite as good but still roomy. Arch packing a bit stiffer but similar to the Altra. Zero drop the same. Protection of the toe more robust.”
