“I am not a runner, but bought these shoes to try the zero drop soles and wide toe box recommended for metatarsalgia. Very pleased with the comfort and fit, not usually easy to find. Would highly recommend.”
“These are the best running shoes I've ever had and have just bought my 2nd pair. The first pair got me through an incredible 10,000 miles over 2 years before they started losing their support. They are super comfortable and extremely light, a bit like running barefoot but with all the protection & support so crucial for runners.”
“I bought these because of the zero drop and proper shaped toe box. They are my 3rd pair. I like the amount of cushioning and no heel, as nature intended, which helps with my back and knee pain. I don't run but do walk a lot and I think they are brilliant. If you haven't used zero drop before you may have to take time to get used to them, ie a bit of wear each day and not just going for it. The leaflet that was supplied with them gives you all the information. Could never go back to tapered toe boxes that dont let your toes spread.”
“Comfortable from the moment of putting them on. These are my 4th pair of Altras so I already knew that I love the brand but my first try of Escalante (I tried Intuition before). I've been very happy with the Intuition but went for the Escalante to replace them as I rarely do longer than 10 miles on the road and usually just do speed work so went for the shoe that would be lighter and more suitable for the short distance but high tempo that I need them for.”
“These shoes really suit my feet which are prone to blisters especially on the little toes. No blisters with these shoes (longest run so far 18 miles). Fabulous. I had to put heel wedges in because I am not used to zero drop yet. I really hope the uppers last because they feel quite soft and airy.
Running-wise the shoes feel quite light and fairly close to the ground but comfortable with enough cushioning for medium-long runs.”
