“I've been wearing Altra Escalante Bostons for a while and planned to run the London marathon in them. But my feet tended to feel battered after 20 mile runs. The xtra cushioning in the Torin's solves that problem so I'm looking forward to my 1st blister free marathon in 10 days time”
“Very comfortable as always. A good upgrade from the Torin 2.0 I had been using. I never have to worry about breaking shoes in when I buy Altras. The usual great service from Northern Runner.”
“Super comfy with lots of toe room. Had a few problems with plantar fasciitis for over a year and have switched to Altra shoes . They have helped me finally get rid of it. Takes a little while to get used to but I reckon I have fewer aches and pains with them.”
“I had been running in Saucony kinvaras before I discovered Altra shoes...ive spent £1000s over the years on trying to find the perfect shoes for my feet ,
I have completely flat feet and that’s why I feel it’s taken so long to find a shoe I can run in which can accommodate my feet...
I land on the front part of my foot
So with the zero drop it allows the foot to have the full range of motion and not jar as the heal heads toward the ground...
So the shoes Torin 3 are the best I’ve found for my particular shape and type of foot and the form I use to run...
While being supportive enough in the midfoot they are also very flexible and give good response after ground contact ...I wear no socks as I like the properseption you get without socks and have no rubbing issues ..
the cushioning is soft when you foot hits the ground and allows your foot to flex while still supporting it....
Great shoe for racing /tempo /or long runs ...light enough and very versatile shoes !! I have two pairs that I alternate with !! Can’t ssy more than that ...”
“Writing from the perspective of someone who was a long distance runner and now has significant damage to both my knees (arthritis) and my feet (collapsed arch) these shoes have now allowed me to walk a reasonable distance again (two miles). I suspect if I had always run on run on, zero drop shoes with cushioning, my knees and feet would not be suffering like at present. Zero drop cushioned shoes may well become the norm and I would certainly recommend these Torin 3.0 Zero Drop Road Running Shoes to anyone who already has some damage or none, they may prevent you ending up like me.”
“Very comfortable, I am used to standard trainers and the 4 degree drop Innov8 race ultra 270 so zero drop in theory should be fine, no issues on a 6 k run. Followed this with a steady paced 10k and felt fine afterwards but the next day my ankle was sore and remains sore 4 days later. Maybe I should have done more 6ks before jumping to 10k.Having paid a lot of money for them I am going to stick with and see how I go.”
