“This is as close to a perfect shoe that I can think off. It’s light, roomy toe box, flexible, cushioned and quiet. And very comfortable. Feels really soft and plush when walking but firms up nicely when running.”
“I've always been a fan of Altra as I LOVE the zero drop and box toe features. I've so far worn out Torins, Paradigms and think the Escalante are great! They are slightly more lightweight when compared to the other runners I mentioned, but, so far so good - they are v. comfy and seem hard wearing. I always buy half a size larger and that is the same for me with the Escalantes... and, so far so good. If you want to run zero drop, I'd recommend Altra wholeheartedly.”
“A light, very comfortable shoe that can easily be worn sockless and allows plenty of room for the toes to spread naturally. This improves push-off and stability. Wish I'd discovered Altra before I reached 70!”
“Wow. What a shoe. Fits perfect, no hot spots, plush cushioning that also manages to have good feedback and energy return. Better materials than adidas boost sole.
Great shoe for both speed and distance. Best of the best.”
“Great comfortable shoe. But played havoc with knee pain (10 miles in them) even though I had come from minimalist/barefoot shoe. Contacted Northern Runner who said I couldn't exchange or take back as worn. More could of been done in my opinion.”
