“I bought these for orienteering. Compared with other Inov8 models, these are very wide. I find all other Inov8s too narrow, these are verging on too wide, but with the right socks and the laces tightened they are just fine and I do appreciate the extra width especially on my left foot as I wear an ankle brace and getting shoes over that can be a challenge!
Positive points: the tread is good, they are comfy, light, drain well, wide, look nice and they are relatively cheap.
Negatives: I'm not convinced the uppers will last too long up against the undergrowth, I miss the lace pocket I had on my La Sportivas and Salomons,”
“I purchased these shoes online from Northern Runner who provided a great service.
The shoes themselves fit well although possibly a little longer than other size 10’s running shoes I own. La Sportiva / Ascics.
First time I wore these shoes was a 20 mile trail run, wet muddy, steep ascent and descent. Post run I was so pleased with their performance, grip was amazing, they drained really well, they were light weight and I had no comfort issues whatsoever. My latest outing was a 10k forest trail race. Harder fire track roads did reveal that these shoes have less cushioning than other in the category but outside of feeling the occasional sharper stone through the midsole, the grip was amazing, lightweight, with good fit providing nice stability. I’d recommend the shoe if you are looking for a fast trail running shoe with bags of grip at a good price bracket. Probably better suited to softer, boggy and muddy terrain but have so far they have performed very well in variable trail conditions.”
“Forgot I shouldn't get a size bigger than I wear like I do for road shoes. Apart from that I'm pretty pleased with them. They are light weight and dry quickly. The soles don't protect your feet from stones but are great in mud.”
“I was a bit apprehensive about these as I’ve never worn them before, wow what have I been missing comfortable light weight and supportive can’t wait to try them on my first swim/run”
