This felt like a great shoe, although it wasn't for me. My previous show was an Inov8 Roclite 282 GTX. I wanted something with more underfoot cushioning as I will be doing a little more road work. The TrailTalon 275 GTX certainly had that and felt very good underfoot. It had the wide fitting of the Inov8 standard fit which I need. The problem for me was that compared to the Roclite 282 GTX, the extra cushioning had been put into the shoe without changing any of the other shoe dimensions. There was thus lots less side and heel height/support to the shoe than I was used to. For this reason alone I have had to return the Trail Talon 275 GTX and get another Roclite 282 GTX, so no extra cushioning for my poor knees. Like all Inov8's, the Trail Talon 275 GTX comes up small in size. I wear a size 7 shoe, but need an 8.5 in both of these Inov8's for trail running.

Overall good trainers. Feel lightweight, the waterproofing is great and works really well with the inov 8 gaiters. Only problem I have had is the back of the shoe where the heel sites has next to no padding. Doesn't seem to be a problem on the flats, slight uphill and down hill but going up steep hills there is an uncomfortable amount of pressure on the heel. Saying that I've done a few long runs and no blisters or hot spots yet.
