“I already run in lightweight Altra running shoes but bought these tougher Lone Peak versions to go travelling in Costa Rica. I have a bunion and also Morton's neuroma so find it very difficult to get shoes to fit. These shoes fitted fantastically well and gave me no pain whatsoever. I've just come back from 10 days of activity in Costa Rica and I don't know what I would have done without them. Fantastic!”
“Even though I had to send mine back as they were to big, for some reason altra don't make a size 4 other than in the states so I have ordered a 4 from them. They are very comfy and have loads of toe room, even with your correct toes in. They also look good too and I'm looking forward to receiving my size 4 from America.”
“I purchased these to replace my Loan Peak 2.0's, which are now a bit well loved. On opening these I noticed right away, the sizing is completely different! They are much bigger than the 2.0's. I had to return these and go down half a size to get the same fit. Other than that, they do pretty much what they say on the tin. Lightweight, good stability and reinforcements in the soles. Good lugs for downhills on wet terrain, but not too grippy so as to feel like ice skates on wet tarmac. Handy gaitor traps on the back too. A great all round trail shoe.”
“Really happy with this shoe. Very light and comfortable. There is space in the toe box for full spread even of wide feet but the heel still feels snug. However I feel that the shoe is hot to wear in comparison with La Sportiva Bushido which are lined with different material. The grip on almost all surfaces is excellent and the feel is amazingly soft underfoot.”
