“Shoes are excellent, ideal for any sort of training run for a neutral runner and much lighter than they look and very good value for money. Service (not supposed to mention I know) was excellent.”
“These have been a little problematic with a slightly-longer than usual toe being compressed against the front of the shoe, which has been painful but is slowly getting better. They are incredibly lightweight shoes!”
“I normally run in zero, or near zero, drop trainers and Saucony Virrata were my shoe of choice until they discontinued the line. The Clifton shoe is a mile away from what I'm used to (it's not a zero drop shoe for starters), but having clocked up a few hundred miles in them here's my pros and cons:
Pros -
. Pretty lightweight.
. Very soft sole which gives a comfy run.
. Look pretty good.
Cons -
. Don't feel well balanced.
. Very high off the ground (which combined with the above means they're ankle turners).
. Toe box can feel a little cramped.
. Slow for racing.
Overall they are an okay training shoe for clocking up road miles, but I wouldn't recommend them for much else.”
“Very good trainer. In fact the best I've had, I get no pain in joints with these as they divert all force to muscles which is what I am training not my joints.”
“I've had the Clifton 1s before and was expecting the same quality but these shoes are rubbish especially for the £90 they cost. After the first(road) run all the black on the side of the soles started to come off and the soles were showing a lot of wear and that was after the first 10 miles.
It's a shame as I loved the 1s but the 2s are far too much money for a runner shoe that will probably only last 1/200 miles.”
“Very comfortable trainers but detail on trainers and sole wearing off after only 2 wears!! Disappointed that they already look years old and not new anymore”
“A great light running shoe .superb cushioning .and stable .straight on and out on the road with not a blister .very cool on hot days .overall best shoe thats been brought out latley .”
