Avian Scales and Bowl Reviews

4.5 Rating 24 Reviews
Read Northern Parrots Reviews

Monitoring your bird's weight is an extremely reliable indicator of health and can alert you to problems days before they would be evident otherwise.
These scales are accurate to within 1 gram or 0.1oz and can weigh up to 5kg. Uses four AAA batteries (already supplied).
They also come with a bowl for weighing baby birds.
There is also a choice of an additional T-Perch (SOLD SEPERATELY) for adult birds. To fit, you remove the bowl and secure the T Perch. Remember to reset to zero, now your bird can step onto the perch for a quick health check.

I had seen this advertised in the Northern Parrots Magazine for a while. When I intended getting a new Grey, I was determined to get one of these and get my bird used to it from early on.She is 12 weeks old and has been using it for two weeks now. She looks forward to going outside with it and it has helped me bond closer with her as well. She is building up healthy wing muscle and fledging great as a result. If you have a baby Grey, get one now and you will have a healthy flighted bird and a great relationship!Paul

Such a great purchase, Monty took to it straight away as his breeder had already gotten him used to the aviator harness so when we brought him home, he felt at ease wearing it. It is a great fit, plenty of flexibility (the lead can be above the parrots body for when the parrot walks on the ground or on the belly for when he flies) and is so easy to slip on and off. The instructional DVD is very informative and worth following to the letter to ensure your feathered friend accepts the harness long term. Medium is a great fit for greys.
