Read Northern Parrots Reviews

Calcivet is a high-quality liquid calcium supplement for birds with added Vitamin D3. Especially vital during breeding, and should be given weekly to all birds. African Greys have a particular requirement for this mineral.
Add Calcivet to drinking water or onto moist/soft foods, it easily absorbs into bones, nerves and muscles where needed. Without enough calcium a Parrot can develop problems with egg laying, slow moults, feather plucking, nervousness and respiratory problems.
Calcium is involved in brain and nerve function and can improve behavioural problems such as feather plucking and chewing.

as african greay need calcium to stay alive and this is made for parrots it isn't a treat it's an essential, my friend didn't know and her parrot died from lack of calcium, good quality products don't cost much if you pay hundreds for a beloved bird!

The small compact bottle is easily stored away and, as we have to take our parrot to my mother in law's when we go on holiday, it takes up very little room when packing his food, sheets, extra toys, etc. Definitely worth the money and my parrot loves it too!

An absolute essential for everybirdy's food and medicine cupboard, Calcivet does exactly what is says on the tin, and more. Even although I didn't believe that my birds were in any way Calcium deficient, I gave this a go - and what a difference in behaviour, after only a fortnight or so!!My birds were much more settled and less jumpy - just as Malcolm (Green) had predicted. This is one product that I absolutely would not be without now.NB - be very careful not to feed more than 5 days per week, as per the label's directions.

no matter how many pellets or fresh foods your bird eats,i still feel that they need that bit extra calcium. this is why calcivet should be included as part of your birds diet.
