Calcivet is a high-quality liquid calcium supplement for birds with added Vitamin D3. Especially vital during breeding, and should be given weekly to all birds. African Greys have a particular requirement for this mineral.
Add Calcivet to drinking water or onto moist/soft foods, it easily absorbs into bones, nerves and muscles where needed. Without enough calcium a Parrot can develop problems with egg laying, slow moults, feather plucking, nervousness and respiratory problems.
Calcium is involved in brain and nerve function and can improve behavioural problems such as feather plucking and chewing.

“No problem with the item itself. I cannot help but wonder however that a box more suitable for the delivery of 1 of the smallest size of Calcivet could of been used. The box was huge - 20 times the size of the product?! Completely unnecessary”

“I bought this product for my African grey to give him during the winter months, but my vet recommended to give it all year around, I give it mixed with food twice a week. I do not mix it with water as Rio seems to taste it and not have it, instead I mixed it with food, I mashed sweet potatoes and mixed it there, he eats it all. Great product and I will buy it all the time.”

“Oven ready loves what I get for her she it a cockatoo.with a bad habit of pluking her feather so I supply her with lot of toys wooden are best but she loves car boxes as long as they are clean thank you for easy way of buying her food .From a gradful owner cathe pearson Leeds”

“I do not think of Calcivet as a supplement, but as an essential for all birds, especially indoor birds who do not get Vitamin D3 from the sun to process calcium. I have a Green Cheeked Conure and just mix 2 drops once or twice a week into his daily soft food. A little bottle lasts a long time so is very cost effective.”
