4.7 Rating 159 Reviews
Read Northern Parrots Reviews

Because birds can be intolerant of artificial pesticides, fertilisers and preservatives, Harrison's Bird Foods have developed the first and only 100% Organic bird food.
The ingredients are premium whole grains and are approved for human consumption.
High Potency is recommended for…
Birds being converted from a seed-based diet. Birds being converted from any other diet. Feed for a period of at least 6 months before transitioning to Harrison’s Adult Lifetime.
African Greys, Large Macaws as a year-round diet, due to their increased nutritional requirements.
Birds that are moulting, overweight, underweight, very active, housed in a cold climate, recovering from illness, affected by liver or kidney disease.
Birds that are weaning – feed for at least 6-9 months.
Birds that are breeding – Ideally feed for 2 months prior to the breeding period and until chicks are weaned, or for at least 6 months before resuming Harrison’s Adult Lifetime.
We would recommend a veterinary health check prior to changing your bird's diet.

I had been feeding my parrot Harrisons Lifetime Coarse complete food but noticed that due to African Greys needing a higher nutritional content, this product is recommended. However, my African Grey does not like this and would not eat it. I am going to go back to the coarse lifetime pellets as although it may not have such high nutritional value, he does at least eat it so he is getting some nutrition.Maybe the fact that this is hot is what is putting him off.

My vet recommended we use Harrisons High Potency Course as our parrots main food some time ago. I have been ordering from Northern parrots for some time now and all orders have always been delivered promptly. My one criticism is that my parrot wont touch the fine and tends to throw quite a bit of the course all over the place would be good if there was a middle choice - apart from that all good.

Bought on the recommendation of bird vet after a feather plucking problem with our Blue Gold Macaw and African Grey. Took afew days to adjust but borh love it now and feathers fine again although took a long time. I add lots of fresh fruit and veg to the dried food and Zocal D calcium and Vit D supplement in water - plus endless pieces of cardborad and branches to chew on.

My African Grey took a while to get used to this food. She still tends to crunch them, and as usual drop most of the cube, but sometimes will hold one in her foot as she nibbles at it. She was brought up on seed, by someone else, and is still addicted to them. I am not sure if I should be replacing her seed completely with HPC, as her feathers are in a bit of a mess. Any advice would be great.

My grey, Pepper, loves these. Apart from grapes this is possibly her favourite food. She is full of bounce and energy seems to be totally delighted with her lot.

First pellet offered was chucked across the cage. Second pellet I ate whilst making lots of yum yum noises! Third pellet she ate and has not stopped eating them since. She has her usual veg, salad and fruit too and am happy our Grey is now getting all the nutrients she needs. Unsuccessfully tried her on these a few years ago but eating them infront of her has made all the difference. I just wish the product was a little cheaper.

He loved the taste ! First day it was not easy to hold on and eat from the foot as pellets has another shape than Nutribird Tropical 15 that he is used too. I will give him most of Harrison pellets as it is so pure and just plased a new order.
