Read Northern Parrots Reviews

Because birds can be intolerant of artificial pesticides, fertilisers and preservatives, Harrison's Bird Foods have developed the first and only 100% Organic bird food.
The ingredients are premium whole grains and are approved for human consumption.
High Potency is recommended for…
Birds being converted from a seed-based diet. Birds being converted from any other diet. Feed for a period of at least 6 months before transitioning to Harrison’s Adult Lifetime.
African Greys, Large Macaws as a year-round diet, due to their increased nutritional requirements.
Birds that are moulting, overweight, underweight, very active, housed in a cold climate, recovering from illness, affected by liver or kidney disease.
Birds that are weaning – feed for at least 6-9 months.
Birds that are breeding – Ideally feed for 2 months prior to the breeding period and until chicks are weaned, or for at least 6 months before resuming Harrison’s Adult Lifetime.
We would recommend a veterinary health check prior to changing your bird's diet.

I just love Harrisons bird food, some may think a little expensive but so worth it. Great for feather picking birds too, my CAG was nearly bald due to her feather picking behaviour and I was at my wits end, 6 to 12 months on Harrisons and she was back to full plumage. If you are having trouble converting your bird onto Harrisons then try the pepper lifetime course. My Macaw wouldnt accept the high potency initially , so I ordered the pepper one which he loves. This is by far the best diet in my opinion. But dont forget your fresh fruit and veg each day. We know how poor nutrition affects us , our babies are just the same.

This was my second bag. The first my CAG wouldn't eat, I was changing her diet. I tried mixing it with warm water, egg, nuts, fruit or veg. I then tried the smaller grain but had the same problem. I wanted to perserver because I know how good they are. This time I purchased with birdie bread which my CAG loves & since eating that she has been eating her pellets too, so very happy.

After trying other pellet food that my african grey ignored I purchased harrisons. I soaked some in orange juice and bottled water for a couple of hours and offered it to him expecting him to turn his beak up at it.I was surprised when he buried his entire beak into it and wouldn't let me take the bowl away. He is now completely weaned onto harrisons.

My Amazon was very poorly and my vet suggested this to improve her health which has been very successful, her plumage has greatly improved and so has her general health.

I have an African grey and a hahns macaw and I add this product to their tidymix (which in my opinion is the best parrot mix on the market) to add more interest. I know Harrisons recommend giving their pellets alone but my birds won't eat it on it's own, also I believe the more variety in their diets the better. I've tried other pellets but I always come back to Harrisons.
