Made good tasty bread that my bird loves but you can just crush the Harrisons pellets and add baking powder and make the bread a lot cheaper

I bake the mix in a muffin tin which gives me a six week supply. I freeze them and take them out at the rate of one a week. This can be kept in the fridge and a piece given as a healthy treat every day. An excellent supplement for my PDD Grey who finds it hard to digest her food, but all my birds love this.

Only given this 4 stars for now, which might be a bit premature. It's easy to make, smelt great when it came out of the oven - I don't know quite what I was expecting it to smell like, but I was pleasantly surprised . It freezes okay - I chopped it up into small pieces to freeze.Gladys runs away from it initially - maybe I've not chopped it up small enough, I have no idea. The strange thing is, she'll sit there eyeing it suspiciously from a distance whilst I'm watching, but if I leave the room for any length of time there are only a few crumbs left when I come back. She clearly finds it very tasty....may be it's something to do with my presentation?Who knows. Complicated creatures these Amazons.Anyway, definately worth a try if you fancy cooking for your feathered friend.

My Meyer's Parrot, Penny, tried this for the first time today and after tasting it looked at me as if she couldn't believe her luck. No food has captured her taste buds and attention in such a way a long time.

Have been trying to convert my seed lover to the Harrisons complete since February with no success, untill I discovered this cake mix (although i did introduce the Avix bird builder and a UV lamp at the same time). Alfie seems to love it, and she is a very fickle feeder, because i presume this tastes like the Harrisons pellets, it has given her a taste for them, and now she has started to pick, I'm a little more hopefull of a full conversion.

I first bought harrisons birdie bread for my african grey at christmas and now he loves it. He is a typical grey and it took him ages to get to like this product but now he enjoys it as a treat as part of his healthy diet. You can also add your own extra fruit or veg for added nutrition, even baby food can be added.
