Blue And Gold Macaw

“Firstly i would recomend buying the larger bag and storing in the freezer you will get twice as much for your money works out at about 80 for the same weight in the smaller bags. Now My blue and gold macaw was a total seed junkie to the extent it was really affecting his health as I found out shortly after purchasing him and taking him for a vet check he was grossly over weight and had respatory problems. The vet recommend this food or harrisons coarse which he wouldnt entertain so I tried kaytee which he loves he really cant get enough and will look for more I have converted him in a week. This food is really good for him also as he doesnt really eat fruit or veg except grapes another ongoing battle I am having but knowing he is getting everything he needs from this food it takes the pressure off a bit meaning he can try new fruit when he is ready.”

“My African Grey "Wilf" will not eat any other dried food he was reared on Ktee I bought the smaller version of this he would eat it but tended to throw bits out of his cage to get to colour he preffered, I find he doesn't do this as much with the chunky version. He has developed a habit of carrying pieces over to his water bowl and dunking it to dampen it then eating it!”
