“I give my two african greys and Orange-winged amazon this food as a base diet. I feed them various fruits, nuts, pulses and veggies as well (mainly depending on what we're cooking for dinner). I like to try them on different complete food every few months to keep their diet interesting but this food is by far their favourite - and all 3 agree.It looks good and smells great and it is actually really good value for money (if you buy the large sack).I like to talk to my birds about what they are eating and they often demand certain food (the demand for "chippies" and "sweeties" is very rarely met but it does not stop them trying). A few days ago my youngest Grey Parrot started saying "yellow yummy yummy" - He obviously prefers the yellow food parts.It's a very attractive looking food that is great to use in foraging toys too!”

“At first my african grey would rather starve than eat her kaytee food, however i did not give up, i added fruit juice to make it moist after 3 days she started to eat the kaytee instead of finding her seeds in the bowl, i think her temperament is also improves aswell.”

“My African Grey is a real picky "buffet eater" and wastes most of his food..he flies around a lot and he got a bit lean, so I bought these . At first he threw them out of his pot..so I decided to feed them as a seperate meal and pretended to eat some, whilst saying "OOH GOOD". Now he sits on my shoulder and munches through his daily amount whilst watching TV. Problem solved.”

“im sure this food is great but no ammount of temting is getting my quaker to eat this i tried mixing with old food, he just digs all this out of the way to get to old stuff, i tried replacing completly with new food he just shouts and screams at me, i tried damping it down, he wont eat it, and im not that struck on the smell of it either, it seems to linger round the room”

“I bought both my Amazons when they were already a few years old. They were used to a diet of regular parrot seed mix from the pet shop and, beleive it or not, one of them had an unlimited supply of JELLY TOTS. Needless to say she was fat, out of condition and had a poor attitude. I know parrots can take time to change diets but I had to do something drastic. The ONLY thing they were offered was Kaytee Exact Rainbow + water. Whenever they had a sitting at their new diet I would reward them with some fresh fruit. It took less than a week to change them over to a complete healthy diet and their condition, personalities, temprament, in fact everything has changed for the better. I'm sure that a high quality complete diet, as offered with Kaytee Exact, was a major contributory factor in transforming two unhappy birds into the most adoring and loving pets. Thank you Kaytee.”
