Birds not sure about this, they eat the yellow and green bits but leave the red ones. Probably wont buy again, but maybe it's just some birds' preference?

I buy these from my local shop and Im never going to buy these again. I suggest Tops or Harrisons or other natural pellets. Coloured ones are artificial and have added sugars etc.

My tiels used to love these and would smash through them, then they discovered Harrisons lifetime fine. In common with another reviewer I still give them this as well for a bit of variety. There is no competition though. I give them the same amount of each. I have to refill the Harrisons fine every day. I refill the Kaytee exact once a week. Ive never had any problems with them being to hard or big for my tiels. Their nips hurt lot more than my grey though - maybe mine have been sneaking steroids behind my back or something!

I actually bought this food for my Quaker Parakeet on recommendation from the vet. Some of the review have said the pieces are too large and tough for their tiels, but a quaker beak seems to have no trouble grinding up these pellets. Byron adores them. It was the only thing that converted him from seeds, which he was fed at the store, to pellets. The percentages of vitamins and minerals also suit quaker-size birds, such as sun conures, senegals, meyers , green cheek conures and dusky conures, as long as they have regular supplements of fresh fruit and veg.The only reason I have given this product 4 stars instead of 5 is because I think it would benefit from being advertised as a product suitable for quakers and similar sized birds.

Thanks for your detailed review, it's really helpful for others thinking of buying this mix. I will suggest to the product team that we change the bird types associated with this product.
