Cuttlefish bone has been used for many years as a way to helping ensure pet birds stay happy and healthy.
As your bird chews on the bone they will be getting a good source of calcium which is essential, especially for hens that are producing eggs.
Cuttlefish bone is also a great way to keep beaks healthy, as one side is much tougher and as your bird gnaws it will help to wear down any overgrown beaks.

“Cuttlefish bone is what it is. I guess natural variation comes with the territory here, given what they are. I was really surprised at some of the other reviews though. The ones I got were absolutely massive. Id say at least 50 Percent bigger than the ones from my local pet shop. Perhaps it would be fairer to sell them by weight, so you get 4 or 5 depending on the size. They should really be sent out with one of those thin metal clips they usually always come with to attach them a cage. I can just about hold them in place on my tiel cage but in common with one of the other reviewers, not a chance of doing that for my grey.”

“It tends to look like an explosion in a meringue factory after he has had a go at it but he certainly does enjoy the beak exercise plus he gets his calcium in the process. He seems to chew it more when moulting.”
