A complementary food containing a mixture of seeds, fruits and vegetables rolled into crispy crunchy balls, tasty and good for their beaks too.

I bought these as an occasional treat for my parrots larger foraging toys and also because the shape would be appropriate for the toys in question. These treat balls were bigger than I was expecting and didn't fit in the toys I wanted them for which isn't a fault on the product itself. These balls were also rather hard and had a sticky texture, I didn't look into how they were made but it was almost like they had been baked too long then coated in something which had 98% set. Certainly not what I was expecting.Neither of my birds took to them either, my conure will have a nibble, then get bored trying to break bits off of it very quickly. He obviously doesn't feel the product is worth the effort and usually he will work hard for something he wants. My cockatiel had 1 nibble then refused point blank to ever go near it again.I've given it 3 stars as I feel this treat may be more suitable for larger birds and it wasn't appropriate for my needs rather than it being a bad product. In the end I went with nutriberries, which are smaller, softer and non-sticky

These are great used in conjunction with the buffet ball especially if you want to limit the amount of seed based foods your parrot eats. I put two rollinis in my CAGs ball if I'm popping out for an hour or two!

My parrot can't get his beak into these seed balls and if anything the African Grey only favours the sunflower seed and become bored with this product when he/she knows they can't get to their beloved seed. However, African Grey's should be given sunflowers seeds in small qty's as it tends to heat up their lil' bodies,Purchasing this product was my attempt at getting my parrot to try something new but it failed. I have a pack and a half that will be given to my dogs instead as a treat... lol... otherwise it would go to waste.
