I have one Parrotlet and two Cockatiels, and this is the first pellet food they all seem to love. I was hesitant about feeding pellets in the first place - no moisture, nearly all of them contain soy, sugars etc. - but I have found that this is not only the healthiest pellet food I can buy, but also the tastiest! The only issue I have is that a LOT of the pellet is crumbled up and simply left as a powder in the bottom of the feeding bowl - for an expensive product, there is a lot of waste. However, I have had great success with mixing these leftovers with their dinner - a mix of soaking beans and pulses, fruit and veg and a powdered vitamin supplement. I highly recommend anyone using these pellets to try that tactic as it will save you a lot of money! Overall I highly recommend this product, as it is nutritionally superior to pretty much any other pellet food I can find - no added vitamins means you can add your own powdered supplement if you wish and ensure you are giving your birds exactly what they need. Well worth the money!

Thought I would try these pellets as they sound very good and I want my green cheek conure to eat pellets of some sort as they are a balanced diet. Unfortunately he still just throws these straight out of the bowl, although since I started him on Fussy Feeder supplement, he has started trying some of the other various pellets I have bought , so I will persevere. I still would recommend trying these pellets as they are very good if your bird will eat them.

Thank you for your comments. Sometimes it can take a while for birds to get used to new foods.

My cockatiel actually readily ate them straight away, which is a miracle because Ive tried various other pellets in the past and shes incredibly fussy. I think it helps that theyre slightly larger, looking more like rabbit pelleted food. She quite happily tucks in. Good value for money

I have tried just about every brand of pellets out there in an effort to get my two cockatiels off of their seed diet and onto a pellet diet but I had completely given up hope as every time they would just absolutely refuse to eat the pellets. I had read some good reviews about TOPS pellets and so I thought Id have one last go at the pellet conversion, and to my amazement on the first offering my birds actually ate more than the initial taste nibble. They have a great texture and crumble easily which my birds love, they were put off by some of the harder pellets we tried, and its only taken me a week or so to get them eating nothing but these pellets. Cannot recommend them highly enough. I am a very happy customer indeed!

I so wish my birds would eat TOPS. They are a great pellet and the most natural on the market. I have tried them on the normal pellets and thought maybe Id have more success with the crumbles. Sadly not.I have given them 4 out of 5, only because I wish they were more appealing for my birds - they happily eat Harrisons. Other than that, they are fantastic and people I know who have birds that do eat them, rave about them. A great pellet choice as part of your parrots rounded diet.

I was recommended these by a leading parrt behaviourist as they are so good. Many other pellets contain harsh chemicals and artificial flavours and colours... I wouldnt eat that myself, so why would I let my orange wing? I purchased some from the Think Parrots 14 show and was a little apprehensive as my OWA is a very fussy eater. Half a day of trantrums later this is her most favourite thing in the world. I feel a lot better knowing that its only the finest quality human grade food that goes in, and as they are compacted not extruded they keep every single nurtrient locked inside. Only one fault with the packaging though, it doesnt say how much to feed your bird it only says a generous amount. Even with an afternoon feed Im sure shed finish the packet full!

I recently bought some Totally Organics Crumbled Pellets to test them out on my smaller birds as I had previously heard great things about them from the US. Needless to say, they're wonderful and all of my birds took to them. They're a nice shape, they are organic, they're very fresh and the perfect size for even the smallest of parrots such as parrotlets. I got my green cheek conures finishing a bowl once they were given them, my lovebirds turned their beaks up at first but eventually gave in, my parrotlets went straight for them and my most fussy cockatiel managed to eat a whole bowl and I am most definitely going to continue to feed it! It has made me decide to buy the full sized pellets too, as I believe many of my birds would benefit from them
