“Northern parrots as always have given excellent service. Ordered online normal 3-5 day delivery and it arrived in two. E mails advised despatch and we could track so not inconvenienced waiting in for the delivery when didnt need to.With regards to the food our 47 year old 9 inch long fussy spur thigh tortoise loves the food. We do feed this to him after soaking in warm water,not boiling for around 15 mins, just put a layer in a flat bottomed dish and completely cover with the warm water. Once soaked the pellets become soft, the texture of a sponge.The food retains its shape and does not fall apart to be fed either by hand or in a dish, throw away any uneaten food the same day as it quickly goes off once soaked. The makers do not recommend this method but we find it works for us.This is the third year he has been having this food alongside other fresh food, dandelions, baby runner bean leaves, strawberries etc. he also has access to grass and fresh water in a sunken terracota plant dish about 12 inches across and 2inches deep which he both drinks from and bathes in and is thriving. We do also feed a supplement near to time when he hibernates.Until northern parrots started supplying this food we struggled to get it either locally or online, so thank you.”
“My tortoises just love this food. I feed it mostly to them for the first month when they first come out of hibernation and for the last month of their being awake. It seems to give them a good boost! I have one adult male spur thigh, and two juvenile Hermanns. They have no problem with the size of the food once it is soaked.”
