Pretty Bird Daily Select Small 2lb Complete Parrot Food Reviews

4.3 Rating 12 Reviews
Read Northern Parrots Reviews

Complete foods for smaller pet birds have been around longer than you may think and offer the ideal solution in helping to prevent the many cases of malnutrition still found in our pet Parrots. Providing your bird with a balanced and nutritious diet plays an essential part in maintaining their overall health.
If you have ever fed your birds on seeds, you'll have noticed their tendency to pick through the mix, removing and usually discarding the less favoured seeds to the cage floor, and only eating the more desirable and in most cases least nutritional seeds.
With a complete diet such as Pretty Bird Daily Select Small there is very little or no waste created, unlike seed mixes which include shells from nuts and seed husks. This makes a complete feed much more economical than you may first realise. Especially in a time where the global demand for seeds, nuts and grains are dramatically increasing, pushing up prices.
Avian veterinarians all over the world recommend complete diets, which now come in a range of colours, shapes and flavours, making for fun and interesting meal times.

All of my birds love this complete food. I mix it in with their normal Hagen Gourmet food and they all love to pick out the complete food first. This complete food has a wonderful fruity smell and while it can make there bird droppings a different colour I do not mind as I have noticed an increased shine to their feathers and a great healthy overall condition.

My birds will eat a small amount of these if they have no other choice, but they are full of artificial ingredients which my birds arent used to. You can smell the sweetness when you open the packet! I will be looking for a more natural pellet for my birds.

These are okay for my birds - I think they were a bad choice on my part as a first attempt at feeding pellets as they are absolutely nothing like the seed my birds were used to! They are quite large - little flat discs maybe half a centimetre across - and the colours are very bright. That might be alluring to birds who love their ripe colourful fruits, but mine are stubborn seed lovers so it put them off a bit. I still cannot get them to eat more than a few mixed in with their seed after a few weeks. However I think I will be keeping them as a side dish, for variety, and trying a different pellet for their full diet.

Our cockatiel likes these pellets a lot. Recommended as they keep her healthy when laying eggs takes it out of her.

Not many of my birds will actually eat these BUT my lovebirds (every single one of them) will devour a bowl and leave very little mess! They are great to sprinkle on fresh foods and their colours make them more fun and appealing

My cockatiel, Snowie, really loves this product and is more than happy to eat it on a regular basis. I obviously include all his other favourites such as millet, carrots, red grapes and fresh greens in his diet. He also enjoys a little warm green tea in between his regular supply of cold water! Thank you once again for supplying this product.

I wanted to try pellets as a change to my budgies seed diet (they have fresh fruit and veg too!) so bought a bag of this and I was amazed how quickly all four took to it. They seem to really enjoy it so I may have to make this their main food and use seeds as a treat!
