Pretty Bird Daily Select Medium 3lb Complete Parrot Food Reviews

4.3 Rating 20 Reviews
Read Northern Parrots Reviews

Complete foods for Parrots have been around longer than you may think and offer the ideal solution in helping to prevent the many cases of malnutrition still found in our pet Parrots. Providing your bird with a balanced and nutritious diet plays an essential part in maintaining their overall health.
If you have ever fed your Parrots on seeds, you'll have noticed their tendency to pick through the mix, removing and usually discarding the less favoured seeds to the cage floor, and only eating the more desirable and in most cases least nutritional seeds.
With a complete diet such as Pretty Bird Daily Select Medium there is very little or no waste created, unlike seed mixes which include shells from nuts and seed husks. This makes a complete feed much more economical than you may first realise. Especially in a time where the global demand for seeds, nuts and grains are dramatically increasing, pushing up prices.
Avian veterinarians all over the world recommend complete diets, which now come in a range of colours, shapes and flavours, making for fun and interesting meal times. Plus you get to spend less time carefully preparing different meals and spend it interacting with your feathered friends.

My amazon was eating Kaytee since a baby but had gone off it after 18 yrs, I tried him on other things, he loves sunflower seeds but I know its not good for him to have too many. I tried Pretty Bird and hes very happy with it, A little slow at first to try it, I gave him a seed mix and that mixed to start with. Now he has a pot of seed mix and a pot of the pretty bird, he has the variety and enjoys it. There is very little mess with the Pretty Bird and I happy with it too.

I have tried all sorts of food for Peter, my African Grey but whatever I have given him he has just picked out the sunflower seeds and left the rest which then got put out for the wild birds who were having a very expensive diet! I tried Peter on this and he took to it straight away. It is reasonably priced and I can be sure he is getting a good diet. He has the odd nut as a treat and fresh fruit and veg each day. He seems very happy with his new diet.

My CAG has only just been converted onto pellets from mixed seeds. After many different brands that she never touched she finally took to this straight away and now on her second bag and thankfully fully converted to all pellets and fresh foods. Smells nice. Great price. Little to no waste and fast delivery. 5star.

For a complete food this looks really good. Very colourful. Unfortunately at the moment I am trying to get our 13 week old orange wing amazon to accept it, therefore am mixing with fruity parrot food. He spends all his time rummaging around in the dish to find the seeds! He likes the colours though - then throws them onto the floor!! I will win in the end.
