Pretty Bird African Special 3lb Complete Parrot Food Reviews

A complete pelleted diet which contains a higher level of calcium, specifically designed for most African species including African Greys and medium and Large Conures, contains calcium helping to keep bones strong and your bird healthy.
Complete foods for pet birds have been around longer than you may think and offer the ideal solution in helping to prevent the many cases of malnutrition still found in our pet Parrots. Providing your bird with a balanced and nutritious diet plays an essential part in maintaining their overall health.
If you have ever fed your Parrot on seeds, you'll have noticed their tendency to pick through the mix, removing and usually discarding the less favoured seeds to the cage floor, and only eating the more desirable and in most cases least nutritional seeds.
With a complete diet there is very little or no waste created, unlike seed mixes which include shells from nuts and seed husks. This makes a complete feed much more economical than you may first realise. Especially in a time where the global demand for seeds, nuts and grains are dramatically increasing, pushing up prices.
Avian veterinarians all over the world recommend complete diets such as Pretty Bird African Special, which now come in a range of colours, shapes and flavours, making for fun and interesting meal times.

It must be good - my grey is healthier than she has ever been. And it is this, sunflower seeds, or nothing! so it's the only way I can get good all round nutrition into her. She is so picky I didn't think she would touch it, but she loves it.

my afrigan grey is so much happier on the complete food he's still has fresh fruit and veg but its not half as messy as nuts and seeds. It also smells fruity which i'm sure makes it more appetising than just nuts.

My fussy African Grey was a little sceptical at first but now chooses this product over his seed mix and other treats. It's economical because there is little waste as he retrieves those bits he has dropped and all that is left is a little coloured dust. Personally I prefer to use it alongside fresh foods and seed mix rather than a stand alone feed.

We had a little trouble during the first two days with our Congo African Grey - Oscar; getting him to change on to this stuff. We took the tough love approach.. basically with all his complaining.. he wasn't going to let himself starve when there was food available. But after a rocky start he now absolutely loves this stuff. He not only eats it but has developed a habit of munching through them for play too. Some days he'll flick out all the red ones and eat the rest, other days he eats all the red ones first and might leave the green ones till last.. we cant tell if he prefers one to the other or if its a little game to him.If your thinking of changing a sunflower junkie to this stuff I highly recommend it. You might have a rocky start, but once your parrot begins to eat it he wont just like it.. he'll love it.
