Manzanita is a sweet-tasting, tropical hardwood. It is particularly strong and resists most bird`s chewing attempts indefinitely.
The flat perch helps to exercise your bird`s feet and prevent sores.
Although Manzanita can split when drying like any wood, this is not a fault, merely an indicator of the hardness, your Parrot certainly won`t mind.
Be sure to provide plenty of other material for your bird to chew though.
