Manzanita is a sweet-tasting, tropical hardwood. It is particularly strong and resists most bird`s chewing attempts indefinitely. The flat perch helps to exercise your bird`s feet and prevent sores.
Although Manzanita can split when drying like any wood, this is not a fault, merely an indicator of the hardness, your Parrot certainly won`t mind.
Be sure to provide plenty of other material for your bird to chew though!

“Arrived quickly. Bigger then I thought even for the small, my Pionus isn't too sure about standing on it yet, but she has tried nibbling it.”

“My tiel was super scared at first but now he absolutely loves it. He is sitting there right now preening himself. He seems to enjoy a lot being able to rest his feet. I would definitely buy that again. Love it!”

“My tiel sits on it to preen, its really good for her feet as she can perch flat footed, Easy to clean and fixes to cage in no time.”

“My small green cheek conure loves to stand on this flat perch. I think it gives welcome relief to his feet sometimes, and it is a nice place to put food on without it rolling off. It looks good as well.”

“The small size rather bigger than expected but it is fine, works well and budgie loves it. Like the look of manzanita wood and the fact that it is bird safe. Poops clean off easily with white vinegar.”
