Rings of Fortune - Advanced Foraging Toy for Parrots Reviews

4.1 Rating 10 Reviews
Read Northern Parrots Reviews

Designed to keep your bird occupied for hours, the Rings of Fortune Advanced Foraging Toy for Parrots is made from tough polymer, nickel-plated chain and stainless steel to resist chewing.
Align the marks with the exit hole. Add a treat and turn upside down so the treat falls to the top of the toy. Now spin the separate rings so that the treat is trapped in the top of the toy.
Hang in the cage and watch instinct take over. Your bird has to line up the marks so the treat falls through to the bottom.
Use lower rings at first and then gradually move the treat higher as your Parrot becomes more proficient.

When I got my toy it was screwed so tight you can barely move it with two hands.I emailed Northen parrots but they just said to let the parrot adjust to it more as it is an advanced toy.I figured I was on my own so I checked the toy and brainstormed around it.Got a scredriver and unscrewed it a bit more. The rings were now rotating easier. However the treats were just never falling as said in the description. You could twist the rings all day no treat would fall down.I figured out it was assembled wrong and I have to turn the rings upside down.Got my scredriver again and tore the thing apart, reverted all 4 rings and screwed it back again. It now works as intented. This is an advaced toy alright, but not for your parrot. The toy is great for my parrot he loves tinkering stuff.

This ne takes our grey a while. We got him used to it outside his cage where he knocked it over to get at nuts. He has learnt to turn the levels but hasnt quite mastered it yet which is good, it keeps him from getting bored.t

My macaw had this sussed in about 10 min on the advanced level so I was a little disappointed as I thought it might have taken a littke longer. On the plus side he loves it and will even try getting food out when there is none in it so still worth every penny

My derbyan solved this puzzle immediately, then once again... and after the third time she is not interested in it any more. Still, I don't regret buying the toy, as every bird needs some sort of intellectual entertainment. I just hope to find a way to provoke her interest again...

I have two cockatoos, one of them ignores the toy completely, second enjoys it and masters all levels. Good and lasting toy.
