Nice idea but certainly not suitable for my African grey. Sadly he’s fallen from it several times as it’s so light. It should be weighted at the bottom to keep it supported I also screwed the legs on to see if that made any difference but it was worse and he fell from the stand onto the floor from table Height I guess if you had a bird that didn’t move or fly it would be ideal but even when mine takes off the stand just falls over and frightens him. He doesn’t like going on it anymore so I wouldn’t recommend this stand for a parrot maybe a budgie a lovebird possibly. Not worth the price.

My boyfriend is not confident handling my African grey so if Im away from home and he is looking after Smokeyjoe he now relies on using the percher to move and carry him about as he knows he will step up onto it and it will protect his hand! Its a clever product as you can use it in a number of different ways!

I bought this for my cockatiel because she likes looking out the window. She was a bit afraid of it at first, but I put some sunflower seeds in the poo dish to entice her to investigate. After that, she fell in love. She will happily sit on this for hours at a time, and she lets me carry her around on it. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 because the plastic does not seem particularly sturdy. My cockatiel is only 100 grams, and her weight is enough to wobble the perch around. I think a heavier bird could easily knock it over when trying to land. Maybe weighting the bottom of the perch could be a solution for this.

I thought this was a metal stand but it a three three piece cheap light weight stand that every time my African grey flights off our tips over and all the poo falls out

I recently purchased this for my Timneh Grey..a smaller cousin of the African Grey. It doesnt catch all of his poops so I have to be careful to place it on newspaper. He seems comfortable on it though. Would recommend it for smaller birds.

Very useful for when I have time to keep him out of cage for a while and not getting poop on the floor. However my parrot does not fly and it is not stable enough to leave him unattended.

I have only recently been given 2 African greys, one is friendly, one is not. I got this to use as a hand perch but has come in really handy for going into the cage of the biter, as he chases me really fast trying to bite. So I use it to cover my hand. Im very pleased I got it. Multi use perch, literally!!
