Birdy Babble Ball - Interactive Parrot Toy Reviews

4.3 Rating 148 Reviews
Read Northern Parrots Reviews

Keep your Parrot, not to mention children and other pets, occupied for hours with a Birdy Babble Ball. This interactive Parrot toy can help teach your bird to talk with an array of words, short phrases and sounds, like "pssst," "meow," "squeak, squeak" and many more.
Hang this Birdy Babble Ball in your Parrot's cage or on their play gym stand using secure fitting pear link provided and watch as the inquisitive nature of your bird takes over.
Your bird has to learn how to activate the sounds, which is achieved by knocking the ball with their beak or against the cage bars, a perch or another object. The tough casing is designed to take whatever your Parrot can throw at it, or even whatever your Parrot throws it at.
The range of sounds helps to retain your bird's interest and the degree of repetition ensures they hear each sound regularly enough that it helps train them to talk.
The Birdy Babble Ball turns off automatically once your bird has finished playing; prolonging the battery life so your bird can enjoy many hours of fun.
It is no wonder this toy has fast become a favourite with many a Parrot and owner too.

Bought one of these for our two young cockatiels. They were playing with it within 10 minutes and soon realised that they had to either knock it quite hard or stand on it to bang it against the cage bars. They quickly picked up most of the sounds, much to their entertainment - and ours! We have had it less than 2 months and we thought they had worn it out. Was about to throw it away when I read the posts on here and realised that the battery could be changed! Hopefully that will work and Ozzy and Lemmy can have their toy working again.

Well the Babble Ball arrived in the post this morning amongst my order of toys for my Cockatoo. He loves it. Only problem is l am going to have to source one for my 3 terriers now as they wanted to play with it to. Well made and strong so hopefully my Too wont be able to destroy it like most of his toys.

I have to agree with one of the other reviews. I have bought several of these balls because my birds really loved the first one I got for them but the ones I got after that first one only works if I myself really bangs it on something. This is really a shame because its a great toy when it works. My 2 birds has both passed away now but I have a new little lovebird and she loves a mobile phone I also got from Northern parrots it has worked for years and she is the third bird to have it. I do wish that would come back so I could get another one for the day when the one I have does not work anymore. Birds just love anything that they can get funny sounds out of so I do recommend this toy if it works and the rating is for a working ball.

This ball is a great idea and would be an ideal toy if it worked, The first one I had would not work at all even with a hefty bang.I returned it for a replacement which did work for 2 days, so we bought new batteries .George loved it and managed to take the fixing of the chain out. We screwed a small eyelet in the hole and it worked well and George was happy. However in less than 3 weeks it stopped working.so I replaced the batteries again which worked but it needed quite a bang and after a week they stopped working. We now have one very unhappy parrot who cannot understand why his ball wont babble even when he knocks it very hard..I have 3 parrots and the other 2 were interested.I was going to buy them one each but I am glad I only got the oneI know other reviews have said similar things so I would recommend not to buy this.Northern parrots were very fair on replacing the first one but as George had taken the fixing out I could not return the second one.

I bought this toy for my African grey and he ignored it for two weeks while it hung in his cage. Then he picked it up by the chain and dropped it and it made a noise. He fell of his perch and immediately got up and started banging it. And he has never stopped!!! He is now used to all the noises and has stopped falling off his perch at the new ones! It needs a good bang for it to work but thats a good thing - it could get quite annoying! Its not loud sounds it makes - thank goodness - but Beaky loves it!!!

Must smash the ball hard to get out sounds, but when it works, my AG get crazy and happy. I must buy more as my AG is in love with the toy and never gives up to get sounds from the ball.
