I buy these for my budgies and even though it looked a bit daunting at first when I placed in their aviary it was not too long before they began to investigate it! Once the fear disappeared they were at it constantly and it obviously is popular toy now for my budgies as every time I buy one they go bananas over it. Amazing toy that lasts more than a week and provides amazing fun for my budgies. A 10 out of 10 toy.

It took a while before my parrot checked this one out, but once he did he was completely absorbed in it. It shreds apart quickly, so if your bird likes this one I would recommend getting the bigger version later. Consider it a treat, because this is not the kind of toy that will stick around for months. I am still giving it a 5 out of 5 score, mostly because I personally think that with the fun my parrot had it was worth the money.

I popped this in front of my sennie and she went straight in for the chomp. Her little eyes got really excited when she sunk her beak in. A really great foraging chew style toy.it hasnt been destroyed too much yet and is lasting well. Id say this is a great medium sized parrot toy. Will keep them entertained and their beak busy

I purchased this for my 'Tiels, who I thought would love it as they are expert shredders however... this toy has just proven to be too tough to shred.I even shred some of it myself to give them a head start.. and even that was hard work. So, it may be fantastic for some of the bigger parrots, and it does look like it could be great fun... It's just too hard to shred for my littl'uns.

I bought the junior one for my Grey as it is the sort of toy he loves. After having been a bit wussy with this for weeks (but just having little nibbles when he thought no one was looking) Jasper suddenly realised that he could chew this to bits- and did so for the next few days! I am now getting the bigger one!

I bought the Junior "ole birk kabob" for my Hahns Macaw and he loves it. It was very easy to string up, as quite a lot of the time, quicklinks are too small to get around the bars which is annoying but no issues here. The string is very strong, my Hahns still hasn't gotten through it so it definitely passes the test.I found at the beginning it was quite hard for him to get his beak around it, he probably would have benefitted more from the chopped up types which he would probably find more interesting too. However inside the circular trenches are quite useful holes that I can easily fit sunflower seeds into and that really made the toy a lot more appealing to him. The wood is soft enough for most birds to chew them, perhaps budgies might find it a little more challenging but my Hahns has very much enjoyed it. The wood is soft enough so you can poke holes anywhere so your birds have something to go on.All in all it was a very good buy and it has lasted a couple weeks so far and my Hahns has gone through a fair bit of it but that is a lot longer than most toys I have bought. In terms of size, it was fine for my Hahns, he was a little cautious at first but considering this perhaps for some smaller birds it might be a bit too intimidating but then again most things are until they get their head round what it's for, then it's playtime all day.I am very pleased with the product and will definitely buy it again.

My A/Grey pulled a bit off then , almost as if something good triggered her memory, she promptly set about destroying this log.Should have bought a large one but they were out of stock.
