“Our Red Rumped Parakeets totally adore this item , took them a couple of days before they used it and since then they have not really left it - constantly sitting on it chewing all the different things.Even thou its a little bit expensive its certainly one of the best things we have ever bought for them and I will be back to buy another when they have chewed this to pieces.”
“I got 2 of these. One is in my Love bird's cage and the other is on the outside of a big empty cage I have so my Rosella and Love bird has something to do when they are out of their cages. The play perch has all my birds favorite chewables on it and even though they haven't used them yet I know that once they get used to them they will have fun. I was surprised at how big they were and just how fun and colorful they look. I'm glad I got them.I think it would be a good idea though to be able to choose a perch size for this toy when buying it because the size of the basket is big enough for bigger birds but the perch isn't. Even my Rosella who is not that big, will have difficulty sitting on it. Or if the perch was just one size bigger. As it is now I would say it's mostly love bird size.”
“My cockatiel loves this toy. I put this in his cage if we are going out for a few hours to keep him occupied and it certainly does the job. By the time we get back he has pulled all the paper strips out which are lying at the bottom of his cage. I think he would spend all his time on this perch if we left it in his cage. But we do keep it as a treat which makes him love it even more.”
“I bought this toy for my two cockatiels, both are compulsive shredders :) It's very colourful, and I'd say that it took a week for my boldest bird to try it out for size.The toy consists of a woven plate, through which a low quality perch can be pushed, to screw onto the cage bars. Fixed to the plate by chewable leather thongs, are three differently styled stars. Two are woven palm, and the third comprises a more fibrous material. All are within reach of the perch, ideal for cockatiel sized birds.Fixed to the outside of the plate is a ball of scrunched up fibres, stuffed to the hilt with strands of paper. At the top of the plate is a chain comprising alternating plastic and raffia links. My birds love both of these, already spending hours nibbling on the paper. The raffia links in the chain did not last long, so I've had to fix plastic to plastic links, omitting the broken raffia.The perch seems to be the favourite item for play. It is fairly low quality, but this is to our advantage as it is very simple to shred!Overall, this toy is well worth a go. Every item except the plastic chain links are extremely shreddable, and my birds have had a go at them all. I think that I would be concerned about how long this toy would last with a parrot larger than a cockatiel, but I expect to get another couple of weeks out of it at the least with my two.”
“i have a orange winged amason, i got this for christmas, i must say it looks ok but i think the perch should be a bit bigger , my parrot finds it difficult to get a grip on the perch, i had to add a larger wider pirch to sit on , i dont think this i a toy for a large bird, it would distroy it in minutes,”
