Super Star Parrot Foraging Toy Reviews

The Super Star Parrot Foraging Toy makes a great entry level foraging toy if your bird is new to the concept of foraging. Plus with a little bit of imagination it can be made more challenging.
The see through design allows your Parrot to clearly see the rewards you've placed inside. It could be food, treats or materials; as long as it is something your bird really likes and is willing to work for.
Once full, hang the toy up in your bird's cage; if you place it near a perch it makes it easier for your bird, or hang it up high and away from perches to make it more challenging.
The star shaped lid can easily be lifted or pushed aside by your bird so they can retrieve their goodies. To make it more difficult try tying rope or fixing a quick link through the chain link just above the star shaped lid; this makes it harder for your bird to access the cup.
For a change of activity you can use The Super Star Parrot Foraging Toy as the base for a chewable or preening toy. Try threading wood parts onto the chain or tie on wood toy parts using rope for your bird to chew. Alternatively tie and knot pieces of rope to the chain, both inside and outside of the cup.
There are lots of fun ways you and your bird can have rewarding fun with a Super Star Parrot Foraging Toy.

My conure likes this but it is quite easy for him to get the treats out, I'd like it to be a little harder, but it does keep him busy and it looks nice too. We got a blue flower so the colour does vary.

A lovely sturdy foraging toy - if your bird will use it! Unfortunately, for many months now, my green cheek conure has just totally refused to try and use it, no matter what tasty treats I put in it. He must have a phobia or something!

My lovebird loves this one. I hang it from his java tree so he has to figure out how to remove the lid. Nutriberries are perfect to put inside. Really good quality plastic, very thick and robust. Chain is also very robust

When I first got this I assumed it was boring as it is plastic and cant be chewed. But actually it is brilliant! The star lid is easy to move in once you know what you are doing, but it moves back if you lose concentration. And it can hang from the top of the cage, which means that it swings and makes things more difficult. The only downside is that it has a hole in the bottom too, so it cannot be used for wet things like berries

Nice size for a CAG, a well made and robust foraging toy, not too tricky though, he worked it out within a few minutes

This is a great starter for birds new to foraging, particularly if the birds are a little smaller. My Quaker was a little perplexed by it at first, but soon worked it out. It keeps her busy and amused, although I may have to add a pear link just above the star soon to increase the difficulty. There are loads of great foraging toys on this site, but many of them are a little too big for a bird like a quaker, so it was really great to see foraging toys of this size. That is not to say it wouldnt be great for a larger bird, but I think it would take them far less time to work out! Definitely a great buy for the medium and small parrot species though.
