This Edible Calcium Clam Parrot Perch - Small contains calcium; an important mineral source, kelp; excellent source of most trace minerals, and prized for its iodine content essential for normal thyroid function.
Using the metal fixing it can easily and securely be attached to most cage bars. Attach it horizontally to provide a near flat surface. This allows your bird to distribute their weight evenly over their feet for maximum comfort. The flatter surface makes a welcome change from round perches.
Alternatively fix it to the cage vertically to provide an uneven surface meaning your bird`s feet will be well exercised.

“I bought the small size, it was quite big and heavy though. Came carefully packaged. It was in excellent condition, even though it came such a long way. I am not super crazy about the combination of pink and green, I would prefer one color only, but I m happy with it, my tiel is already getting used to it, and I m sure that as soon as I place it in the cage he will love it.”

“The clam is a good size I was quite surprised how big it was even though I ordered the small clam, it fits perfectly in my Indian ringnecks cage it provides a good surface for Sky to stand on so he can stretch his feet he seems to enjoy pecking and chewing at it. The clam is quite heavy but has a good fixture and once fixed in place is very secure.I would definitely buy again.”

“This edible clam shell is perfect for our cockatiel. It has become his new favourite daytime sleeping place and a great alternative to round perches. When he fancies a chew, he can nibble away! He was hesitant at first so we put it lower in the cage so he could investigate. Now it is higher up where he prefers to be when perching. The shell is robust but the fixing holds it well. The colours are subtle too - our cockatiel seems to dislike anything brightly coloured, which applies to most bird accessories!”

“This looks good in the cage and my conure likes it. I found when it was flat due to the width, my bird pooped on it quite a lot so we have now turned it up the other way which works better!”

“I love this Calcium Clam, I thought it would be only half a clam shell because of the picture but it is the two shells together which is quite weighty but the adjustable holder to attach it is very good so it stays put. The lovebirds love cuddling on top of it, even though it states small it is large enough for my two birds to sit on top off. I would recommend this as it is a very good product. Will last a long time too.”
