I have been through 4 of these. My main complaint is that the juice from the fruit rusts the screw on fitting, and then it is useless: fused solid. The last one, my Grey bit through the top clip and broke it.I would post a photo, but there is no option to

Skewers like these are a great idea, but unfortunately this is not the way to do it. The link at the top does not have any kind of screw, which means that an inquisitive parrot can easily hook it onto their beaks on accident. The ring connecting the link to the skewer was also not strong enough, and it ended up breaking apart from normal use. The screw at the bottom can also be undone by my amazon parrot, and I need to make sure to remove the skewer after some time so he does not have a chance to ingest this part if it does come loose. Food also easily makes the screw unusable or stuck if you are not very careful to clean it thoroughly every time you use it. I would love to see more innovation in this category of parrot product.Anyways, for the time being a different product in the Northernparrots store is a much better alternative: Working Lunch Stainless Steel Kabob. Buy that one instead!

My budgies love this so much I use it to introduce new fruits and vegetables. Its easy, convenient and entertaining. One small problem. The washer provided will rust in water and reacts badly with fruits. Its only pennies to get a proper stainless steel one though.

I have two of these in my kakariki cage its a great way to feed them their fruit and veg as soon as they are filled and put in the cage the birds are straight at them and the food is eaten rather than thrown on the cage floor.

This is one of the best things I have ever bought! I have these for both of our parrots but our King Parrot is not very good a holding things so was struggling to eat fruit out of a bowl, even small pieces! now she has a full varied kebab of healthy goodies and demolishes the lot! and although quite a lot still gets flicked about I am confident she is now getting enough to eat.

I bought these for my parrot cages and one morning I found my Derbyan parrot had managed to remove the small movable hinged bit and it was jammed on her lower beak. Luckily my husband spotted her trying to remove it and got it off after a couple of nasty pecks from her. This could have damaged her mouth.
