“I’ve given this five stars as we’ve had no issues with our unit, however I have been completely honest so that people understand what to expect. Positives We’re really happy with the unit and we’ve just got it stood in a corner of a room behind a seat so it doesn’t really get everyday use and abuse. If you’re used to ikea builds and instruction guides you’ll be fine. The unit took me around an hour to put together from start to finish with just a screwdriver and an Allen key. However, I have designed and built similar furniture so I’m probably at an advantage here. The finish is really good, the frame of the unit is pine and sprayed white. Negatives As I say, ours is stood in a corner recieving minimal use, and while this isn’t an expensive unit and I feel like we got value for money you do get what you pay for if you’re considering putting this into a high footfall area and intend to use it everyday such as in a hallway. The drawers are a little stiff, I had to play around with the screws to get them to run better and as there’s no crossmember on the base and bearing in mind the construction, it’s not going to collapse but it’s not absolutely rock steady. That said, you’d have to pay around £300 for a solid oak unit to get that level of quality. Overall I’d recommend this product if someone was looking for a cost effective unit to simply fill a space or purpose without costing the Earth.”
