“There are lots of really great performing CD players around, but if you are looking for a reasonably compact CD Player with top performing in built DAC, that can sound on par with (and exceed in some areas, the only real advantage of the Zenith is the amazing sound stage) an Innuos Zenith feeding into an Exogal Comet DAC, with upgraded power supply, and quality interconnects….this is it. It’s a nice balanced experience, definitely favouring a rounded sound rather than tinkly fatiguing treble. Put this together with a quality chassis, great build, and a UK company that are prepared to develop their own CD transports, and you have a CD player that is worth serious consideration.”
