This Blackboard/Chalkboard paint is a tough easy to use blackboard paint suitable for internal and external use.
Flag Paint's Matt Black Blackboard/Chalkboard paint is a high quality, easy to use solvent based paint suitable for interior or exterior use with excellent opacity. It dries to a tough matt black finish making it ideal for creating blackboards or refurbishing existing ones as well as many other uses where a tough matt finish black paint is required. It is compatible with QD corrosion inhibiting primer and Omnicote when applying over ferrous metals.
Suitable Area of use:
Inerior and exterior applications. Ideal for a pub or restaurant in both interior and exterior applications.
Suitable Substrates:
Wood, metal (with suitable primer) and come composite materials. If in doubt we always recommend doing a small test area.

500ml, 1 litre and 2.5 litres
How to Apply:
When applying the Blackboard/Chalkboard paint the surface should be stable, firm, dry and free of any dust, sand, loose or flaking paint, dirt, grease or oil. When applying to porous substrates such as bare timber dilute the first coat by 10% with white spirit. Although it is dry to the touch in approximately 4 hours leave a minimum of 16 hours between coats. When applying to new surfaces we recommend applying two coats but a single coat will be suitable for refreshing existing coatings.
Coverage Area:
With Blackboard/Chalkboard paint expect a realistic coverage of 10-12 m² per litre, although this can vary significantly depending on the porosity of the substrate.
