Protectakote UVR Smooth is a single component moisture cured aliphatic polyurethane coating that forms a light fast, abrasion and weather resistant coating. It bonds direct to many surfaces and is ideal for wherever a smooth tough coating is required.
Protectakote (UVR) smooth offers the same tough weather resistant finish as standard Protectakote UVR but without the rubber granules. This makes it ideal for painting stair noses or any other area where a tough, chemical and wear resistant finish is required.
Coverage is approximately 4 m² per litre per coat. With the recommended 2 coats 1 litre will cover approximately 2m², with porous surfaces such as concrete or wood the first coat should be diluted by 10% with Xylene.
Coverage can be improved but with a corresponding reduction in film thickness, diluted by 10% with Xylene will increase coverage by 10% to approximately 2.2 m² with the recommended 2 coats and diluting by 20% will increase coverage by 20% to approximately 2.4m² with the recommended 2 coats, this is particularly ideal when overcoating standard granulated Protectakote.
