“Bearings - so much choice, so much guff about ABEC rating and clean/don't clean - so little actual difference. Unless you've got exceptional surfaces to skate all of the time, bearings die fast and the difference in ride quality is negligible. I've had Powell Swiss right through to 80p bearings and they all seem to last as long as about a set of wheels or two - maximum. The cheapest ones do deteriorate a little faster but these Spitfires are amongst the better cheap bearings. You can buy better but just buy two sets of these instead - they'll outlast one set of £20 bearings easily AND you get the classic Spitfire flame sticker - I'll admit that's a deal maker for me!”
