The person who is using the mattress and mattress topper has not complained.
Other mattress manufactures' have thick mattresses. I was surprised how thin the Panda mattress is.

“It takes a little time to get used to but I now really like this pillow. It has just the right amount of give , very comfortable indeed .This topper I purchased for my single bed , I already have one for my superking which is great. Please be aware that it really does depend on what mattress you put it on as on my single bed it is much softer, still comfortable but I would have like it a little firmer . All in all I am very impressed, so much so that I am considering trying the panda mattress for the single instead of the topper.”
