“Beautifully soft and luxurious. Dries quickly and don't forget to keep the temperature down in the wash. Love the feel of my new sheets and pillowcases”
“Initially wary as they came tight packed and very creased. Also wondered if they would feel on the slimy side of soft as the material is a bit shiny and quite thin. Decided to put them straight on the bed without pre-washing.
PROS:
Not slimy!! Very easy to put the duvet cover on (easier than my other cotton covers) as the two halves of the material don't stick to each other as you are trying to insert the duvet, like cotton does. Like the corner ties to keep the duvet roughly in position. Good feel on the skin. Nice colour (quiet grey). Fitted sheet a good fit. Duvet buttons a little tight in the holes (as noted by some others) but not impossible.
CONS:
Duvet cover very big! When put on there was at least 25cms excess material widthways and about the same at the bottom. As the material is so thin, this means that as you sleep you get loose flaps of material tangled in your feet as you turn over in the night. Also loose flaps develop up by your face. For me that's very annoying! (Tickly, creasing). Can only hope that the cover (but not the sheet or pillow cases) shrinks evenly in the wash per the website claim.
I have yet to wash them. I'll be interested in not only the shrinkage but also how creased they are after drying....”
Thank you for your detailed review! We'd like to provide a bit of feedback to a few of your points. The duvet cover holes do loosen after a few washes plus having the buttons pushed in and out. This is to ensure the buttons do not come undone during use. Bamboo as a material shrinks by up to 4% so this is something we have accounted for and we recommend washing at 30c and drying flat. Let us know how you get on and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Sweet Dreams, Jonathan @ Panda London.
“Very soft - almost silky - really very pleasant. However - I slept with these covers for one night and had to take them off again as it was simply too cold! So. Back to brushed cotton until about May next year - but I think I’ll very much appreciate these sheets during the summer months! Also - the buttons are a bit tight to get on - quite fiddly in general.”
