Hi Deidre, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate your feedback. I'm so sorry to hear the breeches aren't quite right and my best guess would be that the fabric feels different because this is the Corkshell as opposed to Softshell, which feels a little rougher. The Corkshell is actually a slightly superior fabric in terms of warmth and breathability so hopefully it'll serve you well in the winter, but of course you are welcome to return the breeches to us if you'd prefer a refund an exchange.
